Priyanka Chopra remains TOP choice for Sanjay Leela Bhansali as Deepika Padukone MISSES OUT on 'Gustakhiyan'

A lot has been said and written about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next project post Padmavati. The film is titled Gustakhiyan and it was earlier reported that Priyanka Chopra is to play the lead in it.

However, lately, rumour mills have been busy churning that SLB's current favourite Deepika Padukone may replace PC in Gustakhiyan along with her Piku co-star Irrfan Khan. Given that DP and SLB have previously given blockbusters like Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani, and are currently working together in Padmavati, the possibility of DP collaborating with SLB yet again also seemed feasible. 

But if recent reports are anything to go by, Deepika will not be seen in Gustakhiyan as Priyanka remains the top choice for the film. A SpotboyE report suggests that Priyanka will be the leading lady in the film, which is based on the romantic relationship of poets Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam. 

Earlier, speculations were rife that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing Ludhianvi, but the recent reports suggest that Abhishek Bachchan might be roped in to play the part.
