In a recent video shared by Sonu Sood, the actor urged the government to provide free education to children who lost their parents due to COVID-19. The actor is heard saying, "I would like to request the government, the state government, central government or whichever institutes that are trying to help, that there should be a rule that whosoever has lost family members during COVID-19, the education of their kids, from school to college, be it in a government school or private school, should be free of cost."

Now, Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to her Instagram page and shared a video in which she backed Sonu's vision and plans for the future of the country. While sharing the video, the actor praised Sood and called him a 'visionary philanthropist'. She wrote, "#EveryLifeMatters Have you heard of visionary philanthropists? My colleague @sonu_sood is one such. He thinks and plans."

PeeCee further wrote, "Firstly, I am inspired that Sonu made this critical observation. Secondly, in the typical Sonu style, he has also thought of a solution and come up with some suggestions for action. Sonu’s suggestion is to both the state and central governments to ensure free education for all children affected by Covid. Whatever stage of studies they are at—school, college, or pursuing higher studies. The aim is not to allow a pause and definitely not for the lack of finance. If ignored, a huge number of children would be left without the opportunity as adults."

Priyanka added, "I fully support Sonu’s ideas and I will actively work towards finding ways to support education because I have always believed that #educationforeverychild is a birthright. And we cannot as a society let the virus change that."

A few days back, Priyanka took to her Instagram page and shared a video in which she urged people globally to come together and help India fight against coronavirus. She wrote, "India, my home, is suffering the world’s worst COVID-19 crisis, and we all need to help! People are dying in record numbers. There is illness everywhere, and it’s only continuing to spread and kill at great speed and scale."

The actor added, "Nick and I already have and will continue to contribute. We have all seen how far and wide this virus can spread, an ocean between us makes no difference. No one is safe unless everyone is safe. It’s so heartening to see so many people stepping up to help in so many ways. We need to beat this virus, and to do that requires ALL of us. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!"
