A piece carried by New York Magazine's The cut, titled 'Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' Love for Real?' drew severe backlash from celebrities and netizens on Wednesday for its sexist and racist content. It accused Priyanka of trapping Nick Jonas into a fraudulent relationship and being a 'global scam artist'.

The publication had to issue an apology and also take down the article after people around the globe expressed their shock and disappointment at the writer's unexplained hatred towards Priyanka. "An earlier story about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas did not meet our standards. We've removed it and apologize," The Cut tweeted.

When asked to comment on it during an event in Delhi on Wednesday night, Priyanka said, "I don't even want to react or comment. It's not even in my stratosphere. I'm in a happy place at this moment. These kinds of random things can't disturb it."

Nick and Priyanka got married at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. On December 1, they had a Christian wedding, and on December 2, they had a Hindu wedding ceremony. Priyanka is expected to host a grand reception in Mumbai for her industry friends in coming days.
