'Prassthanam' motion poster: Sanjay Dutt impresses us once again, warns about a new Mahabharat

Looks like 2018 is Sanjay Dutt's year. The actor has come back, and that too with a bang! On one hand, his biopic Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor as the protagonist, is doing wonders at the box office, and on the other, the actor himself is impressing the audience with his unmatchable acting mettle- first with the trailer of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and now with the motion poster of upcoming film Prassthanam. 

The makers of the film unveiled its motion poster on Tuesday. In the poster, Sanjay Dutt can be seen in a white traditional attire facing the sun with his back towards the camera, with a powerful background dialogue in Khalnayak's voice, “Haq doge toh Ramayan shuru hogi, chhinoge toh Mahabharat!”

Sanjay shared the poster on his Twitter handle with the same dialogue as the caption.

Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata Dutt also shared the motion poster on her official Instagram account and captioned it, “It’s the survival of the toughest in the journey to earn the legacy! Here’s the first look from #Prassthanam”. The film is currently being shot in Lucknow.

Manisha Koirala, who is portraying Sanjay’s wife in the film is reuniting with him after 10 years. The film is the official remake of the Telugu political thriller with the same name, which starred Sharwanand, Saikumar, Sundeep Kishan and Ruby Parihar in pivotal roles.  

Produced by Sanjay Dutt’s Productions, Prassthanam also features Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur in key roles. Filmmaker Deva Katta, who helmed the original film, will direct the Hindi remake too. 

Prassthanam is set to hit the silver screen in 2019.
