Dharma Productions, owned by Karan Johar, has announced that Janhvi Kapoor-headlined 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' trailer will release tomorrow. Soon after, netizens have announced to ban the movie citing 'pure nepotism'.

'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' is based on the life of first Indian female pilot in combat - Gunjan Saxena. Apart from Janhvi Kapoor, the movie also features Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Manav Vij in pivotal roles.

Apologizing to Tripathi, a fan wrote, "@VidyutJammwal KhudaHaafiz sold for 10 Crore whr Janhvi's #GunjanSaxena sold for 70 Crore as she is Kapoor. Nothing changed, #NepotismContinues Bt smtym i feel we audience r more responsible for this. I pledge to not watch any of Nepotism products movies Sorry @TripathiiPankaj ji."

Here are some other responses:

The topic of nepotism has gained more fuel after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. Kangana Ranaut had once again alleged that outsiders are bullied in Bollywood, by names like Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra among others. Soon, netizens extended their support to actors who are not part of the industry. The support for actor Vidyut Jammwal increased after Disney+Hotstar shunned his movie 'Khuda Haafiz' altogether.
