It's not just fringe groups and political leader batting against Padmavati over alleged distortion of history, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is also struggling to get his film certified from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

That's not all! A lawyer has also filed filed a plea before Lucknow district court for screening the film for three journalists, Arnab Goswami, Rajat Sharma and Ved Pratap Vaidik who watched the film even before Censor Board's approval. This has been considered as a violation of section 7 (1) of the cinematography act.

The complaint was filed by advocate Ashok Pandey before the judicial magistrate and the matter will be heard on November 24.

Censor Board chief Prasoon Joshi had earlier criticised the makers of the film for getting the film reviewed even before screening it for Censor Board. "Disappointing that 'Padmavati' is being screened for media and getting reviewed on national channels without the CBFC having seen or certified the Film. This compromises role of systems and balances that are part of a functioning industry," said Prasoon Joshi.

After the director released a video that his film is not distorting history and even denied claims of an alleged dream sequence between actress Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini and actor Ranveer Singh in the role of Alauddin Khilji. His sentiments were echoed by news channel Editors as well.  Rajat Sharma said on his prime-time show "Aaj Ki Baat", " After watching the entire film, I can emphatically say that there is not a single dialogue, not a single scene, not a single sequence that can be said to go against the proud history of the Rajputs of Rajasthan". Arnab Goswami also reviewed Padmavati on his debate show.

Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer is not getting released on December 1st.
