Sanjay Leela Bhansali film 'Padmaavat' has had a long journey before it finally reaches audience this week.

While the Supreme Court of India has given a go ahead to the film after Central Board of Film Certification granted it U/A certifical and a new title, protestors haven't calmed down. Fringe groups continues to express their angst against this Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer and are threatening people from watching the film at theatres.

Bollywood has expressed solidarity for Bhansali's film and once again Renuka Shahane sent out a strong message for all the haters. The actress known for her role in Hum Aapke Hai Kaun is known for being vocal about expressing her opinion on matters and now her post on protestors seeking Padmaavat ban also has gone viral. The actress shared a picture of a protest with people holding a big banner with ‘Ban Padmavat’ over which has put a big red cross indicating this ban isn't needed. Shahane also posed with three placards which read out — Ban rape, ban female foeticide, ban sexual molestation. Her facebook post has gone viral and got over 5000 likes in just 12 hours.  

 

Earlier in an interview to a news agency, Deepika Padukone also said, “It’s appalling, it’s absolutely appalling. What have we gotten ourselves into? And where have we reached as a nation? We have regressed. " She even said, “As a woman, I feel proud to be a part of this film, and to tell this story, which needs to be told. And it needs to be told now.”
