Even after changing it's name from Padmavati to Padmaavat and getting a green signal from the Supreme Court for pan India release of Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer, the protests against the film refuse to die down.

Karni Sena protests continue in various places in the country including Bhopal, Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Protesters on Wednesday blocked Delhi-Jaipur highway and Gurgaon's Wazirpur-Pataudi road with some incidents reported from various parts. The Ahmedabad Police have arrested 48 people from various locations under act of rioting for unleashing violence in the city. On Tuesday night, miscreants pelted stones and tried to set vehicles ablaze outside some multiplexes. Members of some fringe outfits held a protest in Bhopal where they burnt Bhansali's effigy.

Even the journalists who have watched the film so far are wondering why fringe groups are protesting against the film. DNA After Hrs review also reads, "it's a harmless piece of cinema that doesn't dent anyone's honour."

TV hottie Nia Sharma's random musing seems the only reason to smile in the troublesome times. While team Padmaavat's joy in midst of wonderful compliments for the film is getting diluted by the ongoing fringe fury. The actress who was last seen in Khatron ke Khiladi season 8 too to Twitter to share her random thoughts which do make more sense than the ongoing protests. She wrote, " How does someone just convince an entire community to start riots and protests while I can't even convince my 3 friends to hang out with me."
