With just a week to go for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali film 'Padmaavat', the film continues to battle controversies.

Inspite of Supreme Court's verdict to lift the ban in Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, protestors across the country continue to threaten against the screening of the film. But the filmmaker could find solace in spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's verdict for his much-awaited release.

Padmaavat was screened in the Art Of Living Ashram,  Bangalore on January 15th 2018. Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar watched the film in the presence of the filmmaker himself and was all praises for his cinema. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar praised Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh-starrer and did not find anything objectionable in it. Reports even suggest that after watching the film, spiritual guru was wondering people are protesting against the film. He even went on to say that the film is a tribute to Rajput honour and is a beautiful tribute to Queen Padmini.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also said that people should celebrate Padmaavat and feel proud about the film.

The film is all set for January 25 worldwide release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It will be the first Indian film to get a global IMAX 3D release.
