Sanjay Leela Bhansali film 'Padmaavat' starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh is finally going to hit theatres. With the new title on the posters, makers confirmed that the magnum opus is all set to clash with PadMan Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor at the box-office on January 25th.

But that's not all, 'Padmaavat' makers also published full page ad in newspapers giving out 6 disclaimers for the film that has been caught in controversies for over a month now.The makers clarified the film is based on the epic Padmavat by Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi which is a work of fiction. The makers of Padmaavat also clarified that the film does not have a dream sequence between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati. The makers also stated that they have made the film as an ode to the famed valour, legacy and courage of Rajputs.

The film portrays Rani Padmavati with utmost respect and does not tarnish her repute or misrepresent her character in any manner. The film has been cleared with 5 modifications by Central Board of Film Certification and is official approved for release in India with U/A certificate.

It doesn't end here, Padmaavat makerd also thanked Govt authorities, CBFC, film fraternity and fans for support and said 'Padmaavat' will make every Indian proud of the film.

TV Actor Nakuul Mehta is also appalled to see the struggle of Padmaavat makers and wrote on Twitter, " Statutory warning on a cigarette pack, I understand. This I don't. No place for art in my country."

In an official statement Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO, Viacom 18 said, "Padmaavat is a cinematic masterpiece in every sense of the word. We hope that we will surpass the expectations of our fans from across the world. We are humbled with the immense support we have received from the government authorities, the Central Board of Film Certification and the entire film fraternity.Padmaavat is a story that’s inherently Indian in its context, ethos and values. In the past, international film-makers have presented Indian stories such as Gandhi, Life of Pi, The Jungle Book and others to the world. We believe that this is the right time for us to truly make in India and show the world a tale that every Indian is proud of.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “Padmaavat is a dream come true for me. I have always been fascinated by the stories of honour, valour and vigour of our great Rajput warriors that have been captured so beautifully in our literature and this movie is my homage to those glorious stories. I would also like to thank the entire film fraternity for supporting Viacom18 and Bhansali Productions through the entire production and pre-release phase and hope they like the film they so supported.”

Meanwhile, fringe groups are still protesting against the film demanding for a nationwide ban on the film. States of Gujurat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have also not lifted the ban even after a clearance from CBFC.
