Padmaavat box office update: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film inches closer to the Rs 230 crore mark!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest offering Padmaavat continues its grip at the box office in the second week as well. The film starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the leads is slowly inching closer to the Rs 230 crore mark at the domestic box office. 

Padmaavat managed to collect a total of Rs 6 crore on Tuesday in its second week. Going by the current trend, the film will definitely cross the Rs 230 crore mark on Wednesday.

 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the update and the box office collections of the film in Week two. He wrote, "#Padmaavat is SUPER-STRONG... [Week 2] Fri 10 cr, Sat 16 cr, Sun 20 cr, Mon 7 cr, Tue 6 cr. Total: ₹ 225.50 cr. India biz."

Recent reports suggested that Padmaavat has already crossed the Rs 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The film has become the highest grosser for Ranveer and Shahid and second highest grosser for the leady lady Deepika. 

 

The film is gathering praises from all quarters and the performances of the lead cast has been appreciated by both the audience and the critics alike. If the current trend continues, the film should be able to cross the Rs 250 crore mark by the end of this week.
