'Pad Man' helmer R Balki denies making a film with Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan

Filmmaker R Balki, who is getting ready to release his next directorial, Pad Man, with Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte on January 25, is on a denying spree. When asked by the media whether he was making a movie with Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan with the former playing an amputee, he refuted the news. Next, he was asked whether his wife Gauri Shinde of English Vinglish, Dear Zindagi fame was once again casting Sridevi in her next. Balki denied that too.

We believe Balki. But there is one hitch. He doesn’t always remember things. He had once denied that he met Shah Rukh Khan for his film Shamitabh. In fact, even the title of the film is a combination of their names. And he did initially have plans to cast the Bollywood Badshah with 

Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh. Talks reportedly failed between SRK and Balki or so, an insider indicated. And then Dhanush came on board. However, Balki had denied that he was even thinking about casting Shah Rukh.
