Akshay Kumar might still take time to begin shooting for Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi but he has unveiled the poster of the film. The team has announced that Sooryavanshi, the third installment in Rohit Shetty's cop franchise, would be Eid 2020 release. The movie's tagline is 'A bullet for a bullet'.

"From #RohitShetty’s Police universe, get ready for the fire-packed #Sooryavanshi, releasing on Eid 2020! @karanjohar @RelianceEnt @RSPicturez @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms," Akshay Kumar shared on Twitter along with the first poster of the film.

Interestingly Ajay Devgn also shared the poster on his Twitter handle writing, "A Bullet for a Bullet... He’s not alone... #Sooryavanshi @akshaykumar #RohitShetty @karanjohar @RelianceEnt @RSPicturez @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms"

For the uninitiated, Ajay Devgn was part of the first cop franchise i.e. SinghamHe also had a small but powerful cameo in the second installment starring Ranveer Singh as Simmba. The actor never openly spoke about or even tweeted about Simmba at that time. The reason for that could probably be that the makers asked him to keep his association with the movie under wraps. Now that Ajay has also tweeted about Sooryavanshi, can we be assured that Singham will play a pivotal role in this movie too? Our best bet is that we would know once the movie goes on floors in May 2019.

Co-incidentally, Salman Khan has always booked Eid for his movies. The superstar will also release his much-awaited Bharat on Eid this year. Next year however, Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty have already booked Eid for their release, so one can be assured that Salman Khan might not release his movie on Eid in 2020.

Another rumour that made its way along with Sooryavanshi is that Karan Johar is unsure about backing the film. However, after the makers released the poster of the film, one can be assured that Karan's Dharma Productions is on board for this film after they backed Ranveer's Simmba too. Interestingly, Karan and Akshay's collaboration began with Kesari, the film which is slated to release on 21st March this year.
