The controversies surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati rechristened as Padmavat, refuse to die down. While the Rajput Karni Sena continues its protests, demanding a complete ban on the release of the film, reports of the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer getting a release date have  also started doing the rounds.

Meanwhile, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), has suggested a few changes in the film, including the Ghoomar song and a change in the title as well. Once the changes are made and submitted to the board, the film is to be passed with a U/A certification.

Earlier, several reports suggested that Padmavati may lock horns with Akshay Kumar's Pad Man at the box office on January 25. The makers of Pad Man have also shared that they'll release the film as per the schedule and not delay it even of the SLB film also happens to release on the same day.

Now, fresh reports have surfaced which suggest that Padmavati is likely to hit the theatres on February 9, thereby clashing with Anushka Sharma's next production titled Pari. While nothing has been confirmed by the makers on this front as of now, speculations about the release date of the Bhansali film are rife.
