Not 'Kedarnath', 'Simmba' to become Sara Ali Khan ’s debut film?

There has been a lot of back and forth over Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Kedarnath. The Abhishek Kapoor directorial saw several delays and finally settled on a November release date.

However, trade sources now say that the film could be further postponed because the makers reportedly don’t want to clash with the mammoth bilingual, 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, which is likely to open in cinemas on November 30.

In all likelihood, Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar’s co-production Simmba will be Sara’s launchpad. The action-comedy, which is toplined by Ranveer Singh, releases on December 28. “Rohit, who was in Argentina for Khatron Ke Khiladi, has arrived in Mumbai and will begin the next schedule today. The film should wrap up by mid-October because it is being readied for a year-end release.”
