Not Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao to romance this other actress in 'Fanney Khan'?

Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao starrer Fanney Khan is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. The movie has Aishwarya playing the character of a popular pop sensation Baby Singh while earlier reports suggested that Rajkummar Rao will be seen playing her love interest in the film, looks like that may not exactly be the case. 

Why do we say so? Well, turns out that Rajkummar Rao's love interest in the film will be played by his Bareilly Ki Barfi co-star Swati Semwal. You might remember Swati in the role of Rama, Bitti’s (Kriti Sanon) friend and love interest of Rajkummar Rao in BKB. Even though Rajkummar and Swati were not the lead pair, their jodi was loved by the audience and now once again Swati Semwal will be seen playing an important cameo in Fanney Khan as the love interest of Rao. 

However this time her character is very different from the one which she played in Bareilly Ki Barfi. Talking about her character in Fanney Khan, Swati shares, "In Fanney Khan I am playing the role of an upcoming actress. This character is very different from the sweet, next-door girl character I played in Bareilly Ki Barfi. Here I will be seen in a bold modern avatar opposite Rajkummar Rao.”

When asked about working with Rajkummar Rao again, Swati said, "It was fun working with him again and being a part of a good film with Mr. Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai You feel elated when you see your hard work paying off.”

Directed by Atul Manjrekar, Fanney Khan is all set to hit the theatres on August 3.
