National Awards 2018: 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' actress Bhumi Pednekar cheers for choreographer Ganesh Acharya's win

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the winners of 65th National Awards on Friday morning. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's film 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha's is also celebrating as veteran choreographer Ganesh Acharya has won the award for best choreography for 'Latt Maar' song in the film. The Holi song which was pictured on the lead stars, gives a glimpse of their love in the middle of a fight for toilet in the house.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the winners of 65th National Awards on Friday morning. Ganesh is honoured and told PTI "It is a big thing, it is a very proud moment for me. I would like to thank Akshay Kumar, the director and the producer. For me, this is like an Oscar award. Akshay is very happy for me. Bhumi Pednekar also gave a shout out to the dance guru and wrote on Twitter, “Congratulations #GaneshAcharya sir on your win for #GoriTuLathMaar .The choreography was truly beautiful  ️ More power to you.What a phenomenal experience.Yay team #toiletekpremkatha @akshaykumar @KuttiKalam @ShreeNSingh @FFW_Official #Proud #NationalFilmAwards (sic)." 

Producer Prernaa Arora (of KriArj Entertainment) is extremely grateful and thankful to the jury. She told BollywoodLife,  “This is a very proud moment for all of us. We are extremely grateful and thankful to the jury for recognising the merit in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’s song, Gori Tu Latth Maar. This was another special collaboration with Akshay Kumar sir and another big moment for us.” 

The 10-member jury comprised of filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. Kannada film director P Sheshadri, screenwriter Imtiaz Hussain, actor Gautami Tadimalla, lyricist Mehboob and others. The award ceremony will be held on May 3rd 2018 in the national capital when President Ram Nath Kovind will present the awards to India's cinematic best.
