My mom took Rishiji’s number to tell him how brilliant his son is: Manisha Koirala

One actress who has all the reason to celebrate Sanju’s success is Manisha Koirala. She plays Sanjay Dutt’s real-life mother, late Nargis Dutt, in the biopic. And celebrate she did! At the success party of the movie, we hear, the actress had a blast dancing away to the songs from the movie. When we asked the actress about it, she laughed and exclaimed, “Oh yes, I love to dance! I think everybody was having a blast. It was a good, happy moment, so there was all the more reason to do so.”

The actress was touched on receiving congratu-latory calls from actors like Rishi Kapoor, Rekha and Vidya Balan. “My mother called me from Nepal and told me she is so proud of me and the movie. She even took Rishiji’s number from me to tell him how brilliant his son is!” she told us. As for Sanjay himself, she is yet to speak to him. 

“I enquired about him but he and Maanayata are both not here,” she states. The actress, who is acting in the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Prasthaanam opposite the actor, says she really wants to meet him, but Sanjay is currently in Singapore with his family. “Once he’s back and everyone else is free, we should meet up,” she said. And have another reason to dance and celebrate? “Absolutely!” she laughed.
