Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh took to his Twitter page and gave an update on Mumbai Police probe on Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The postmortem report of the actor suggested that he died due to asphyxia. Sushant passed away due to suicide on Sunday (June 14, 2020). His funeral was held on Monday evening after his father and other family members arrived from Patna earlier today.

Meanwhile, Anil's tweet read as "While the post mortem report says actor @itsSSR committed suicide by hanging himself, there are media reports that he allegedly suffered from clinical depression because of professional rivalry. @MumbaiPolice will probe this angle too."

Check out the tweet below:

Neeraj Singh Bablu, a BJP MLA had responded to queries from journalists regarding Sushant's death. He told PTI, "We are shattered. He was so young and full of life, inspired others to realise their potential. We were planning to get him married later this year. "

Bablu also shared, "Ever since he acted in the movie Kedarnath, he seemed to have been mesmerised by the pilgrimage centre. He would keep looking for an opportunity to visit the place again. He was always spiritual, the orientation had grown stronger in recent times though."

He added, "At the moment, we are weighed down by the immensity of the tragedy. If, upon reaching Mumbai, we find any signs of foul play, then naturally we will try to ensure that the matter is probed thoroughly and justice is done."

Sushant is survived by his father and four elder sisters.
