After evoking the spirit of patriotism among the masses with the teaser and trailer of Gold, the makers of the film launched its first romantic track at a star studded event in a suburban Mumbai hotel. Akshay Kumar flew down from the US, taking a break from his annual family vacation, just for the song launch event of Naino Ne Baandhi while popular TV actress Mouni Roy, who makes her Bollywood debut with the Reema Kagti directorial was visibly excited and grateful at the event.

While both Akshay and Mouni brought the house down by performing live in front of those present, they also took out time to interact with the mediapersons at the do. During the interactions, Mouni was asked the difference between shooting for a film and that for Television, since she has now worked for both the platforms, Mouni shared that apart from the songs (in Bollywood films), there's not much difference really.

It was at this point that Akshay intervened saying that he'd like to add to Mouni's answer and said, "Difference yeh hai ke yeh log hamse bohot zyada mehnat karte hain (The difference is that those working in TV work much harder than those who do films)". On hearing this, Mouni also couldn't help but mutter a quick 'Thank you' to Akshay. Indeed it was quite generous of the actor to acknowledge the hard work that the TV actors put into their work on a daily basis.

Also present at the event along with Akshay, Mouni, Reema Kagti were Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal. The movie, which is set in the pre-independence era, chronicles the story of Tapan Das, whose only dream is to see the Indian Hockey team win an Olympic Gold medal as an independent nation.

Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold is slated to hit the theatres on August 15.
