'Mission Mangal': Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu's film to premiere in Australia at IFFM 2019

Mission Mangal's trailer which was unveiled a few days back left an impressive mark on everyone. The film is based on the launch of India's first satellite to Mars. It stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and H. R. Dattatrey in the lead roles and is directed by debutant Jagan Shakti. Akshay had earlier said, "A story of underdogs who took India to Mars. A story of strength, courage and never giving up! #MissionMangal, the true story of India’s space mission to Mars."

Now, the interesting news is that Mission Mangal is all set to be premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. IFFM 2019 will host the official Australian premiere of the film on Independence Day at HOYTS Chadstone in Melbourne which will incidentally be the first festival premiere for the film. This is quite interesting, we must say!

Earlier, at the trailer launch, Vidya spoke about the film stating, "I felt this story needed to be told. We Indians do not wear our pride on our sleeves for our country and I am glad that more films are being made that make us aware of what a great nation we are. When I roam around the world, I see people are so proud of their nation or heritage. If there is anyone who needs to be proud, it is us. Our culture, our history and our achievements are great and we should start celebrating them. I am glad our movies are doing that and 'Mission Mangal' is doing that."

Mission Mangal is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
