Maniesh Paul, who has flown to London for the second leg of Salman Khan’s Da-Bangg Tour, which he will be hosting, will extend his stay by two days. The popular TV host, who has recorded a song Munde Town De, in collaboration with PBN (Punjabi By Nature), a UK- based band, will be shooting the video over two days. “It’s a hip-hop Punjabi romantic song, which we will be shooting on a helipad. It’s my first single composed by PBN. They had sent me the tune and the lyrics. I recorded the song scratch in 15 minutes and sent it to them. They loved it and said, ‘Whenever you are in London, we want to shoot the video’,” says Maniesh. They are looking at casting a girl based in the UK opposite him in the video.

Incidentally, this is the actor’s first trip to London and he looks forward to it. While the Da-Bangg shows will be held on September 16 and 17, Maniesh has gone a couple of days early to catch up with his relatives in the city. “All my cousins there, with their friends, have organised a meet-and-greet evening for me. Both my films did decently well there and I’ve been told that a lot of people want to meet me. I got my visa twice before for a couple of shows, but those got cancelled at the last minute. It’s great that my first time there is with
Salman bhai,” smiles Maniesh.

This time, he’ll be performing on the stage more — dancing with Salman to Mujshe Shaadi Karogi, with Prabhu Dheva on Urvashi and there will be one dance with Jacqueline Fernandez. He and Jackie had a flirtatious connect on the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9. “We are yet to decide on which song we will shake a leg; it will be either Chittiyan Kaliayan or Lat Lag Gayi, but I’m more keen on the latter because it is peppier,” says Maniesh, whose line, ‘Nimbu Nepal Mein, Jacqueline Maniesh Ke Khayal Mein Hai’ became popular.

MEANWHILE

Reacting to the reports of him co-hosting The Great Indian Laughter Challenge show with Elli Avram, Maniesh says he hasn’t even been approached for it. “I don’t know from where this news has come. I am not hosting it,” he maintains. When asked if he is open to it, he says he will take a call on it if and when he is approached. But, whenever he has hosted shows he has done it solo, wonder if he will agree to be a co-host!
