Even as he is hosting a dance show, Zee TV has roped in Maniesh Paul for a new programme, Movie Masti With Maniesh Paul. We hear it will be light-hearted, comical Bollywood game show in which the inimitable host will be accompanied by a crazy, quirky, Bollywood-obsessed family inspired by every Hindi movie stereotype. The show will unravel the unseen and unscripted side of B-Town celebs by subjecting them to tricky tasks, fun games and rapid-fire quizzes on films.
This family will feature a motley of filmi characters ranging from a melodramatic Maa — a mother who embodies every stereotype ever, a father who is a self-proclaimed villain — one who looks old but feels young. Adding to this mix is the duo of a talented wheeler-dealer and a seductive padosi bhabhi.

interrupting them every step of the way will be this mischievous family and at the helm of this comical brigade will be Maniesh.
“I go back a long way with Zee, having hosted DID L’il Masters, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and a number of award shows on the channel,” says he, adding that it has always been a great experience to be associated with the channel. “When they approached me with this interesting concept, I couldn’t refuse. The show is a celebration of all things Bollywood and our collective passion for the movies as a nation. I was hooked to the idea right since the producers and
creative team narrated it to me,” he elaborates.
Maniesh states that the show is a treat for a Hindi movie buff like himself. He avers, “I’m thrilled to not only host it but also get to test the Bollywood quotient of some of India’s hottest film stars. Audiences will see their favourite stars let their hair down and have a ball, trying to win the game show joining hands with their biggest fans. I see it as an entertaining, family game show that will keep you on the edge of your seat.”
