The makers of LoveRatri, which marks the debut of Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain, will launch their first song from the movie, Chougada, in Baroda tomorrow. The foot-tapping number has the leads, who will launch the song, perform in a flash mob with college students — something they did on the streets of London in the film.
Choreographer of the song, Vaibhavi Merchant, has recreated Gujarat at prominent spots like Potters Field Park and Tower Bridge in the UK capital, says a source. Composed by Lijo George and DJ Chetas, it features dancers from ethnic background dancing to the beats of garba.
Talking about why it’s being launched in Baroda, a source says, “Aayush’s character is based there and we have extensively filmed on the streets of the city. Chougada is a recreation of the original Gujarati folk song, hence, we decided to launch this in the language amongst the locals. The actors will travel there tonight and launch the song in a college tomorrow morning.”
