Irrfan Khan is the quirkiest companion for a road trip. We have seen the talented actor entertain us in Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Piku' in 2015 and once again Irrfan Khan has hit the road with Dulquer Salmaan and Mithali Palkar for 'Karwaan'.

On Wednesday afternoon, makers have dropped 'Karwaan' trailer which reminds us that Irrfan Khan brings life to each character he plays and the film he signs. Little over 2-minute Karwaan trailer is packed with Irrfan Khan's quirky one-liners which add tons of fun to Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan and YouTube sensation Mithali Palkar's maiden film in Bollywood.

'Mayyat me romance mat kar' and 'Roti hui aurat pe aur doodhwale par kabhi bharosa nahi karna chahiye' are just few one of them. Karwaan trailer opens with Dulquer's character receiving news about his father's demise. A mix-up of dead bodies brings him and his best buddy played by Irrfan meet a lot of interesting characters on their journey across South India. Dulquer Salmaan and Mithali Palkar are not new to acting and definitely don't appear to be newcomers at all but 'Karwaan' appears to be Irrfan Khan film all the way.

'Karwaan' is a roller coaster ride of three different characters and how their lives get connected on an unexpected journey where each one finds redemption, hope, love and eventually themselves.

DNA After Hrs had earlier reported that the three actors didn't meet each other before the film went on floors.Director Akarsh Khurana told us, “Dulquer, Irrfan and Mithila met for the first time on location in Ooty. Even in the film, that is where Mithila’s character meets the men for the first time. We shot mostly chronologically, so the actors’ relationships developed with that of the characters. This worked out quite well. You can see the comfort build through the movie, which may not have been something we could have devised authentically if we had not shot in sequence.”

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala`s creative production house 'RSVP' in association with 'Ishka films', Karwaan is directed by Akarsh Khurana and is slated to release on August 3, 2018.
