After her name cropped up in the CDR (Call Detail Records) case on Tuesday by the Thane Police, actress Kangana Ranaut lashed out at them in an official statement issued on Wednesday. The Deputy Commissioner of Police from Thane crime branch, Abhishek Trimukhe had shared on Tuesday that Kangana may have given the mobile number of Hrithik Roshan to her advocate and celebrity lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui back in the year 2016.

The DCP had stated, "investigation has revealed that Kangana Ranaut had shared Hrithik Roshan's mobile number and shared it with the accused Rizwan Siddiqui in 2016, a reason for that is not known yet, the probe is on."

Refuting the allegations, Kangana has slammed the police, calling out their act as irresponsible. Here's what her full official statement read:

"When we respond to a notice, we give all details to lawyer. To assume that these details were used to violate law and make statements based on that assumption and defame an artist is irresponsible on Abhishek Trimukhe's part. Proper investigation should be carried out before making assumptions.”

For those who're uninitiated, lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui was arrested by the Thane police last week, during an investigation in the case of illegal acquisition of CDRs by private detectives. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife were also summoned by the police in case if the CDR racket that came to light in January.
