Kajol remains a mother figure to her 'Helicopter Eela' son Riddhi Sen, here's why

Kolkata-based actor Riddhi Sen, who will be seen in Helicopter Eela starring Kajol, is quite close to his mother (Bengali actress Reshmi Sen). However, while he was shooting for the Ajay Devgn production extensively in Mumbai, he didn’t miss motherly affection. The reason being, Kajol, who plays his onscreen maa, was a mother figure to him throughout the shoot. 

Besides checking on whether he was fine and having his meals on time, she’d also inquire if he was coping with the studies he missed during the shoot. Interestingly, while filming the song Mumma Ki Parchhai, the actress would be in character even between shots.

Says Riddhi, “Since it was a five-month-long schedule, I missed my maa a lot because the bond we share is just like the one Eela and Vivaan (Kajol and his characters in the film) share. Mom and I are best friends. During the shoot, it seemed that mom ki parchhai was around me constantly because of one person — Kajol ma’am. She is such an amazing person; caring and empathetic. Eventually, she became a great friend to me just like my mother.”
