Veteran actor-writer Kader Khan, who passed away on January 1 2019 at a hospital in Canada, used to miss Amitabh Bachchan the most in the entire film industry, his son Sarfaraz Khan revealed in a recent interview with Indo Asian News Service.

His son bitterly spoke about how his once celebrated father was neglected by the film industry after he migrated to Canada. Sarfaraz said: “It is the way the Indian film industry has become now. There are too many fragmented camps and loyalties. The out-of-sight-out-of-mind mentality can’t be helped."

“My father always told us, his sons, not to expect anything from anybody and we grew up with the belief that one must do what is required in life and expect nothing in return.”

"However, the hurt is palpable, specially since not too many from the film industry have bothered to call his sons in Canada even after Kader Khan's death. There are so many people in the film industry whom my father was close to," Sarfaraz added.

"But the one person that my father loved the most was Bachchan saab (Amitabh Bachchan). I'd ask my father whom he missed the most from the film industry and the answer promptly would be Bachchan Saab. And I know the love was mutual," he further added.

"I want Bachchan saab to know that my father spoke about him till the end," said the son emotionally.

Khan gave Bachchan some of his career's biggest hits with memorable dialogues and writing in a series of films -- 'Sharaabi', 'Lawaaris', 'Muqaddar Ka Sikander', 'Naseeb' and 'Agneepath', for which the megastar won his first Best Actor National Film Award in 1991.

A few days before Khan passed away, Big B had sent out 'duas' to the veteran actor-writer on Twitter.

He was also amongst the first ones to express condolences after his death. "Kadar Khan passes away .. sad depressing news .. my prayers and condolences .. a brilliant stage artist a most compassionate and accomplished talent on film .. a writer of eminence ; in most of my very successful films .. a delightful company .. and a mathematician !!," Bachchan tweeted.

Recently, an old interview of Kader Khan surfaced on the internet where he revealed how he lost films and friends in the industry because he could never get himself to call his friend Amitabh Bachchan, 'Sir Ji'.
