'Kabir Singh' trailer: Shahid Kapoor as an obsessive lover of Kiara Advani will make you terrified and fall hard for him

Shahid Kapoor has stepped into the shoes of Vijay Deverakonda in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy. Titled Kabir Singh, Shahid plays the titular role and is paired opposite Kiara Advani. For the uninitiated, Kabir Singh is about how he dooms himself in drugs and alcohol after getting heartbroken by his sweetheart Preeti played by Kiara. Kabir has been a top medical student and a successful house surgeon. But his ill habits always land him in trouble.

The trailer starts with Shahid's character desperately wanting to have sex and asks his friend for help. It then shows how while in the hospital he performs surgery like a top professional and once he gets back home, he transforms himself into a maniac who can't stop having alcohol and snorting drugs. The trailer then cuts to flashback, where Kabir falls in love at first sight with his junior Preeti. Over time, she reciprocates his feelings and then starts their passionate affair.

However, their happiness is short-lived as Kiara's character gets married to someone else and they part ways. The two-minute 43-second long trailer has given out all possible glimpses which we will see in Kabir Singh.

Kabir Singh is directed by Arjun Reddy helmer Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde. The movie has been extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi and Mussourie. It's set to hit the screens on June 21, 2019.
