Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh which released earlier this year, faced a lot of flak for influencing people in the wrong way. The movie is back in news for inspiring a fan to commit not one or two but four murders, followed by suicide.

A report on Hindustan Times states that Ashwani Kashyap, who is also known as Johnny Dada, killed three people, an airhostess and then ended his life too. He was also famously known as Tik Tok Villain, who posted angry videos. Interestingly Kashyap was also fan of Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh.

He used to share images of Kabir Singh more than often. In one of the videos which he shared, Kashyap also narrated the dailogue from Vijay Deverokanda's Arjun Reddy Hindi remake, which stated, “Jo Mera Nahi ho sakta, use kisi aur ke hone ka mauka nahi doonga.”

Talking about the same to Odisha TV, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who helmed both Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy, stated that neither of them supported murder. He said that people having psychological issues look up to such characters to match their feelings. Vanga further clarified that Kabir Singh was a self-destructive person.

After killing three people in Uttar Pradesh, including two relatives of a local BJP leader Bhim Sen, Johnny Dada (a term used to describe 'don' of an area) murdered Dubai-based flight attendant Nitika Sharma. It was when Kashyap was caught red-handed by the police, did he shoot himself in the head.
