Juhi Chawla is amazed at Sonam K Ahuja's ability to get under the skin of character

Juhi Chawla will be reuniting with Anil Kapoor on screen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, but more than that, the actress is excited about working with his daughter Sonam K Ahuja.

“I think working with Anilji and Sonam in the same film makes it more special. I had seen Sonam as a 12-13-year-old girl when I was shooting for Deewana Mastana with her dad. We were in Switzerland for a month. His and Davidji’s (Dhawan, director) families and my mom were all there. These kids used to be around while we were filming,” recalls Juhi, who is impressed with Sonam’s performance in the upcoming movie.

“There is this sequence where Sonam breaks down following a scene with her father and I was amazed to see her doing that without glycerine. She really gets in the mood of the shot,” says Juhi appreciatively adding that the younger actress is quite chatty on the sets.

“She wants to know about the ’90s, how it was for working then, about the different directors, etc,” shares Juhi.

About her Benaam Badshah co-star Anil, she says that the actor has become one with his craft. “He is as driven and dedicated about his roles as he was then. His performance in the climax of the film was so good that everybody on the sets started clapping,” she says.
