Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan's production 'Ittefaq' is ready for release. An adaptation of the Yash Chopra's film by the same name is getting recreated for the current generation and stars Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna in the lead. The makers revealed the first posters of the film introducing it's lead cast. Touted to be story of a one night, the film's tagline says '2 murders, 2 suspects, 2 versions'.

Kjo tweeted Sidharth Malhotra's poster and wrote, " He was accused of a crime he did not commit! Wait for his version...his story" Bruised on the forehead, Sid is all set for his first thriller with Dharma productions.

Directed by Abhay Chopra, this film will mark the debut of Sonakshi Sinha in Dharma camp. Stepping into the role which was originally played by Nanda, a grim Sona makes her entry on the posters of this murder mystery. Karan introduced her as, "She is accused of killing her husband...but did she? Wait for her version...her story!"

Akshaye Khanna is also a part of Ittefaq and looks like the one who will solve this mystery in the crime scene. Johar shared the poster of Akshaye Khanna where he is seen lighting a cigarette and deep into his thoughts. Johar tweeted, " He trusts no one and suspects everyone. He only wants the Truth."

Karan Johar has co-produced films with Sajod Nadiadwala, Ekta Kapoor and even Phantom in the past. But revealed it's different experience working with a friend like SRK and he said, “I think just like me, Shah Rukh is pretty much in the background. We have people and teams that take over the films. Actors want to leverage their brand value and equity and take it to another level by having production houses. Shah Rukh isn’t involved on a day-to-day basis. He is a superstar and he has so much happening...”

Karan further adds, “SRK and I work very well together — we produced Dear Zindagi with him and now, Ittefaq. It is seamless and our teams are completely aligned with each other. Shah Rukh and I step in whenever required. At the final cut, we will see the film. Dear Zindagi was Gauri Shinde’s baby all the way, Shah Rukh and I stepped in the end just to help and support the product and do nothing else.”

About the Sidharth-starrer, he says, “Ittefaq is placed in the hands of a debutant director, but I can assure you Abhay Chopra has a sound voice because of the way he wrote the film and the way he has executed it. It is bang on time, the way we planned it. He has such a clear vision for it and I am sure when we see the final cut, he would have followed his vision to the T. I like collaborating with like-minded people. I collaborated with Sajid Nadiadwala and we had a great equation. Touch wood, all my collaborations have been very smooth. And you know that for a fact because you would have heard about it, if it was otherwise.”

Sidharth Malhotra revealed that the trailer of Ittefaq will be out tomorrow. The movie is scheduled to release on November 3
