Salman Khan was to produce a film along with Karan Johar starring Akshay Kumar based on the battle of Saragarhi. At the time Salman didn’t know that his buddy Ajay Devgn had announced a film on the same subject before. When he found out about it, he stepped out of the project because Salman didn’t want to get caught between the Ajay and Karan hostilities. In a recent interview, Ajay claimed that Salman was not a part of the film anymore and he also added that his film will release only in 2019 and even if Akshay and KJo come first with theirs, it won’t make a big difference to him. He said, “Salman Khan is not making Battle of Saragarhi. I am not too sure if somebody else is making it or not. I am making the film for sure, but I will take some time. I have always maintained that the film will be made on a very big scale and I will need, at least, two years’ time for that film. If anyone wants to make it, they can make it and release it as well. I will release my film after them, but I am making the film for sure.”
