Ishq Di Baajiyaan: Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu surrender to the game of love in Soorma's latest song

The makers of Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu's upcoming film, 'Soorma', released the first song from the movie, 'Ishq Di Baajiyan.' While the movie's trailer focused on the harsh realities of legendary hockey player Sandeep Singh's life, the song with the words "love will flicker" gave an insight into his romantic life. It showcases the chemistry between Diljit and Taapsee as they play hockey together. It also takes us through the hardships the player went through.

The song has been penned by ace lyricist Gulzar while Shankar Ehsaan Loy has composed the music. Actor Diljit Dosanjh, who is portraying Sandeep aka 'Flicker Singh' in the movie, has lent his voice for the song.

Singh, who made headlines for his miraculous comeback after an unfortunate accident, is regarded as one of the world's most dangerous drag-flickers, a peculiar scoring technique in hockey. He was even graced with the nickname 'Flicker Singh' for his drag speeds of over 145 km/hr.

The film also features Angad Bedi in a pivotal role. Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangada Singh and Deepak Singh, 'Soorma' is written and directed by Shaad Ali. The film is slated to release on July 13.
