Irrfan Khan reveals details of his 'rare disease', read full statement

Irrfan Khan, who has been out of sight for the past few days, recently informed everyone on social media that he is suffering from a rare disease. While he requested everyone not to speculate about it and spread wrong information, he said that he is trying to know the details of the rare disease and doing the needful.

Now in a rather heartbreaking news, especially for all the fans of Irrfan Khan, it turns out that Irrfan has been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine tumour. 

 

As promised to update everyone when he gets a conclusive diagnosis, Irrfan took to his Twitter account to share the sad news with his fans and said that “the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope.” He further revealed that due to his ill-health, he will be going out of the country and requested everyone to send their wishes. 

Here's what his full statement read:

"Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect - Margeret Mitchell.

The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research. To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell. - Irrfan."

Meanwhile, On the work front, the actor will soon be seen in Abhinay Deo's film Blackmail. The film is slated to release on April 6.
