With three back-to-back films with Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'cruz is facing rumours that the superstar has been recommending her name to all his filmmakers. After Baadshaho last year, the duo will be seen in 'Raid' in March which will be followed by Inder Kumar's 'Total Dhamaal' as well.
Without mincing her words, the actress admitted that she bagged Raid because of his co-star. She told Mid-Day, "I have no qualms in saying that the only film he recommended me for was Raid. In fact, Arjun Kapoor has also recommended a script to me, so it's not only about one actor."
She confessed to have immense respect for Ajay Devgn and calls such rumours malicious. She told Mumbai daily, "I haven't met anyone for Total Dhamaal, so it's funny to hear these things. What upsets me is that people put out such malicious rumours. I have tremendous respect for Ajay and he has been nothing but respectful to me."
Raj Kumar Gupta's film Raid will see Ileana D'Cruz in the role of Ajay's wife. Sharing details about her part in the film, the actress earlier said, “Even though the film is about the raid with Ajay (Devgn) as an income tax officer, I do have a pivotal role. I admit, in terms of footage, it’s not large, but it’s an interesting part of the film. My character is not a demure biwi from the ’80s. She is sensible, speaks her mind and is quite the force behind him. The equation between them comes out in the songs and in the emotional scenes where you realise she is worried for him yet tries to put up a brave front."
Raid will hit theatres on 16th March 2018.
