IIFA 2017: Disha Patani and Diljit Dosanjh win best debut actor awards!

The International Indian Film Academy awards held in New York's iconic MetLife stadium witnessed a very tough competition in the categories of best debutante and best actors. Finally, the award for Best Debut Actor Male went to Diljit Dosanjh and Best Debut Actor Female went to Disha Patani. 

While Diljit got the recognition for his role in Udta Punjab, Disha got the honour for her touching performance in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Diljit essayed the role of a cop in Udta Punjab that starred Shahid Kapoor as the protagonist and Disha played Sushant Singh Rajput's first love interest in the MS Dhoni biopic.

Prior to the awards night, B-Town stars were seen dazzzling the IIFA green carpet. Among those who managed to make heads turn were actors like Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Disha Patani, Varun Dhawan, Shahid and Mira Kapoor.
