After Bollywood actors Richa Chadha, Taapsee Pannu lauded actor turned Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan for her explosive remarks in the parliament, Sonam Kapoor has now quipped on Twitter, saying, "I want to be her when I grow up," sharing Jaya's video posted by filmmaker Anubhav Sinha.

For the uninitiated, Rajya Sabha member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan in Tuesday's session of Parliament had demanded the support of the government against the vilification of Bollywood. She also slammed the comments of Kangana Ranaut and BJP member of Parliament and fellow actor Ravi Kishan.

Taapsee, sharing the video wrote, "Taapsee Pannu too shared the speech and wrote: “For we have always stood by the initiatives, causes and awareness campaigns. It’s time for payback. Hitting the nail on its head and how ! yet again a woman from the industry spoke up #Respect."

While Richa said, "Mrs Jaya Bachchan started her career with legend Satyajit Ray and then went on to redefine Hindi cinema. Watch this to see the face of fearlessness. The ‘agents’ and khurchans participating in the deliberate vilification of Bollywood will self-destruct like bhasmasurs. #respect."

Jaya Bachchan had given a Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha, which can be raised for critical matters with the approval of the Speaker. Jaya's speech came at the time when there is ongoing controversy around the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and the drugs-related investigation in the case. After Rhea Chakraborty's arrest, several questions have been raised about certain alleged activities in the film industry.

Jaya said, "People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language."
