I'm NOT answerable to anyone: Shruti Haasan NIXES lip job rumours!

Shruti Haasan is one of those few South stars who's got a huge fan base in Bollywood too. However a couple of days back, the actress was heavily slammed on the social media for allegedly getting a lip job done. There were people putting up recent pictures of the actress and pointing out how she has undergone a surgery.

With this ongoing buzz, the actress finally opened up on the topic. Shruti didn't confirm or deny getting a lip job done, but she did slam all the haters. While talking to Mid-day, Shruti addressed the issue and said "It’s my face, my body. What I do with it is nobody’s business. What people write about me on social media does not bother me. I am not answerable to anyone." 

The actress was also trolled recently for gaining a considerable amount of weight, however it was later clarified that she had gained it for her upcoming film, Behen Hogi Teri. 

Lashing out at people for being too observant, Shruti further added, "Looking good is part of our job, but the unnecessary chatter about weight must be filtered. Maintaining an ‘acceptable’ figure for an actress is impossible. We are human. We gain and lose weight for roles and sometimes naturally too." 

Shurti Hassan's next project- Behen Hogi Teri, is a quirky tale of two neighbours, along with Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. The movie is all set to hit the screens on June 9. Apart from that, Shruti was also a part of Sundar C’s Sanghamitra, however she walked out of the film recently after failing to receive a proper, bound script.
