While the news portals were still abuzz about who replaces Katrina Kaif after her exit from the dance film with Varun Dhawan, we now have an update on the same. The dance film, directed by Remo D'Souza, will go on floors in January in the city of Punjab and last for about a week. The team will then shift base to London, where the second schedule will be held in February.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “During the first seven-day schedule in Punjab, a song and a few scenes will be shot after which the team moves to UK in the first week of February. A major chunk of the film will be shot in London, and it wraps up mid-April.”

Keeping the basis of the storyline intact, this film will also show the journey of a nobody turning into a dance competition winner. “It chronicles the journey of the underdogs who go on to defeat the champions. While Varun leads the Indian contingent, the makers are in talks with an international dancer to come on board as his competitor,” adds the source.

Interestingly, even though the previous installments from the dance franchise did see the lead actors romance on-screen, the romance will be missing this time.

The source further states, “The film will be shot in the 3D format, while there are also plans to convert it into the 4DX format. The attempt is to scale new heights in this genre.”

Releasing on November 8, the movie marks renowned dancer-choreographer Shakti Mohan’s Bollywood debut.
