Anjali Patil is a national award winning actress who has been seen giving a brilliant performance in her recent release, Newton, alongside Rajkummar Rao. She has been critically acclaimed for playing the character of Malko in the film and now the film has pocketed an Oscar nomination.

Critics have praised her performance and said that she shines on the screen when she occupies it. They have also praised her speaking in the ’Gondi’ language and said that she is full of talent.

Speaking about Newton being India's official entry for Oscars 2018, Anjali says, “I am honoured and awestruck by the news we got just yesterday in Delhi, about our film being nominated in the Oscars, the hard work of our entire team has borne its fruit. My sister, Archana who is also a director in LA and I would often joke about this; if we will we ever get a chance to be a part of it. And Newton has now made that dream come true. We were in tears when we heard the news, it is so over-whelming.”

Rajkummar Rao's Newton has been winning hearts and has managed to impress the audience and the critics alike.
