Akshay Kumar celebrates Maharashtra Day with his teacher

Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar celebrated the auspicious occasion of Maharashtra day by meeting her Marathi teacher from school. The actor tweeted a picture and wrote, "Had a chance meeting with the lady responsible for my manageable Marathi...my Marathi teacher from school :) Couldn't have met on a better day. #MaharashtraDay."
Maharashtra Day, commonly known as Maharashtra Diwas, is celebrated as the state was formed on that day, from the division of the Bombay State on 1 May 1960. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, who was recently awarded Dada Saheb Phalke Award for Padman (Jury) and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, is all geared up for his next movies, 'Gold' and 'Kesari'.

Recently, there was a huge fire on the sets of Kesari in Wai district of Maharashtra. The film's unit had been shooting the climax portions of Kesari in which the Battle of Saragarhi was being filmed. Though Akshay Kumar had left for the day but the remaining crew of the film was present on the sets. A large part of the sets was damaged but fortunately, there were no casualties.
