‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’: Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty are all set to elope on this date

Last year in early October, Aanand L Rai announced that Colour Yellow Productions has roped in Sonakshi Sinha and Diana Penty to star in the sequel to Happy Bhag Jayegi. 

Now adding to the excitement, the makers have released the teaser for the sequel and it has indeed made us really happy. The movie now titled, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, will feature Sonakshi as the new Happy, along with the original character, played by Diana. Though the teaser didn’t reveal much apart from the release date of the film as August 24, we assume that the film’s cast is going to be same as the prequel.

Aanand L Rai, the producer of the film, revealed the news on Twitter, and wrote, “24th August, aapko milwayenge 2 Happiyon se! Agar woh dono bhaagein na, #HappyPhirrBhagJayegi! @sonakshisinha @dianapenty @ErosNow @cypplOfficial”

Sonakshi too took to Twitter and wrote, “Nayi Happy se milne ke liye taiyyar ho jaaiye – 24th AUGUST ko Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi! #HappyNews @mudassar_as_is @jassi1gill @DianaPenty @jimmysheirgill @ErosNow @cypplOfficial”

Meanwhile, talking about casting Sonakshi in the film, Aanand earlier said, "Happy Bhag Jayegi was a cross-border comedy of errors featuring humorous characters and now we are happy to announce the sequel that has Diana passing on the happy-ness quotient to Sonakshi. Excited to have her on board." 

Happy Bhag Jayegi directed by Mudassar Aziz, released in August 2016. It also featured Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Sheirgill.
