Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi Box Office Collection Day 1: Sonakshi Sinha's film opens to Rs 2.70 crore

Sonakshi Sinha's 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' experienced a slow start at the box-office on Friday, despite decent reviews. The Mudassar Aziz directorial collected Rs 2.70 crore on its first day, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh. 

"Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has a slow start on Day 1... Fared better in North... Needs to witness substantial growth over the weekend + maintain a strong trend on weekdays to leave a mark... Fri ₹ 2.70 cr. India biz... First part had collected ₹ 2.32 cr on Day 1," he wrote. 

The comedy drama was released in adequate number of screens, which means it had a potential of scoring higher. It is expected to pick up pace over the weekend, considering the film doesn't have major competition in debutant Utkarsh Sharma's 'Genius'.

But, what's good is that the Krishika Lulla and Aanand L. Rai’s production has opened better than its predecessor 'Happy Bhag Jayegi'. Diana Penty's film had opened to Rs 2.32 crores, two years ago. 

'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' also stars Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Jassie Gill and Piyush Mishra. Considering how much people are liking Jimmy and Piyush's performances, one can expect the film to pack a satisfactoy first-weekend total.
