Actor Parineeti Chopra, who turns 32 on Thursday, is currently enjoying her time in Europe and her vacation pictures on social media are proof. The B-town star recently took to her Instagram handle to post a photo of herself soaking in the winter sun as she posed for a photo in a perfect travel outfit.

Dressed in a black bodysuit featuring a turtle neck which she teamed with a matching black face mask and a pair of mint green joggers, Parineeti sure gave travel outfit goals. The actress layered her outfit with a pristine white trench coat while keeping her make-up minimal. To round off her look, Parineeti opted for a pair of white lace-up sneakers and statement glasses.

Soon after Parineeti posted the photo, netizens went gaga over her look.

"So beautiful," wrote a user. "Superr," said another. "Full of swag gorgeous beauty," commented yet another Instagram user.

And while Parineeti was being showered with praise for her killer looks and on-point style in the said photo, there was a time the same actress was criticised for her weight and body. The actress, who has done several films including 'Namaste England', 'Meri Pyaari Bindu',  'Jabariya Jodi', among others, weighed 86 kilos before she joined the film industry. And while there is nothing wrong with that, the actress was heavily criticised for her weight and negative comments were directed at her for not looking like the 'quintessential Bollywood heroine'.

However, moving on from all the hate and negativity, Parineeti gradually worked on her body and eventually lost 28 kgs to look like what she does now.

In fact, in one of her social media posts in 2015, the star proudly flaunted her stretch marks and for that, she was lauded by netizens who admired her for having the courage to do so on a public platform.

The actress received widespread praise given that most celebrities in those times would only put up photos where they were fully dressed and had tons of make-up on.

This refreshing change, where a public figure was being bold enough to accept her body the way it is and not shying away from the fact that she got stretch marks after losing quite a lot of weight, was a welcoming one.

“The way u showing ur stretch marks.. It’s real u.. Commonly we most of gals have.. N it make us conscious.. But after seeing this pic.. We won’t be..,” a fan of the actor had posted in the comments section.

“Thank you for keeping it real intentional or unintentional but it does means a lot to us when today it’s all about bashing people unnecessarily even for the tiny details and non-stop body shaming,” posted another.

Several of her male fans too admired her for the photo. “Stretch marks! Wow! A real woman, I like it,” one wrote on the photo.

In one of her 2016 posts, Parineeti, while taking all the criticism in her stride, said Bollywood pressure was the reason she decided to lose weight, something she had wanted to do for a long time.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “All my life, I have struggled with how I look, how I feel, and how people looked at me. I was constantly made fun of, but the person I was, I generously laughed with them. Today, many people ask me what triggered the weight loss, did I give in to the “Bollywood pressure”? To that I say - thank god I became an actor and had that pressure! I am able to achieve what I couldn’t achieve otherwise. I feel more confident, I feel at peace, and I feel proud!.”

"Girls and women meet me all around the world, at airports, events, on the street; they hold my hand, hug me, and tell me their struggles and how I changed their lives. They show me their wallpapers, their wallets, and its all pictures of me!! They look at those pictures and want to make that change in their own lives. They look at my Built That Way campaign and have stuck it to their walls. I have seen women tear up and tell me I changed their life. Post-delivery weight, teenage obesity, they are fighting it, and I am their inspiration. As an actor, there is no bigger achievement for me. I am glad to be a part of your life in this way. So thank you, everyone. Thank You for making me feel loved. Like I always say - if I could do it. So can you. And I am always there for all of you .... Lots of love," she concluded her post.
