Gurmeet Choudhary's kind gesture, to sponsor solar panels for residents of his hometown

Known as an actor with a heart of gold, Gurmeet Choudhary has fronted socially relevant causes from time to time. Now, the talented actor plans to go back to his roots to address the grievances of the people of his hometown, Bhagalpur in Bihar. Faced with power cuts and  electricity issues, the people of the region will be attending sessions by Gurmeet and his team to learn about renewable alternatives.

Gurmeet, who is one of the most loved names of the television industry, will also be sponsoring solar panels for the residents of the city.

Talking about the stimulus to introduce this initiative, Gurmeet says, “This thought had been looming over my head for the longest time. We keep hearing about drastic climatic changes on the news and we think that there’s not much we can do about it. But renewable sources of energy are our best options. Going solar is a great way to combat climate change.”

 He adds, “Not many people know that there are green ways to produce electricity. It is said that charity begins from home, so I thought it would be best begun from my native place. I will be conducting the sessions along with my team, and through those, we will do our bit to educate the people about solar energy. I want them to know that it is an easy and a feasible option.”
