'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' trailer: Janhvi Kapoor narrates inspiring story with talented supporting cast

The trailer for Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is finally out. Starring Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role, the Netflix original film is a biopic based on the life of the first Indian female airforce pilot in combat. Along with Janhvi, the film has a series of talented actors which include Pankaj Tripathi, Manav Vij, Vineet Kumar Singh and Angad Bedi. In the trailer, we see how Gunjan faces rejections since childhood when she confesses her dream of joining the military and become the Indian Air Force Pilot.

Even her brother played by Angad doesn't support her much despite being a part of the Indian Army. However, Pankaj's role as her father believes in her without any inhibitions and makes sure she fulfils her dream without any hindrances. However, during the training for the pilot, she again faces rejections as she is cited as a weak person. But that doesn't stop her from giving up on her conviction.

Finally, Gunjan Saxena finds a place in the army and becomes a part of the Kargil war.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. This is Janhvi's third outing after Dhadak and Ghost Stories. The biopic is set to be streamed from August 15, 2020.
