Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has been doing wonders at the box office. The Zoya Akhtar directorial has managed to cross the Rs 70 crore mark in just four days of its release. Gully Boy has raked in a total of Rs 72.45 crore at the box office in its opening weekend. 

The movie, which opened to a fantastic figure of Rs 19.40 crore on Thursday, which also happened to be Valentine's Day, has been riding high on superb reviews from the critics and an extremely positive word of mouth from the audiences. The movie also boasts of stellar performances from its leads. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office details of the film. As per him, here's the box office breakdown of the opening weekend collections of Gully Boy:

Thursday: Rs 19.40 crore

Friday: 13.10 crore

Saturday: Rs 18.65 crore

Sunday: Rs 21.30 crore

Total: Rs 72. 45 crore

He further shared the benchmarks of the film, "#GullyBoy benchmarks... Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 3 ₹ 75 cr: Will cross on Day 5 [Mon] Will cross *lifetime biz* of Zoya Akhtar’s #DilDhadakneDo [₹ 76.88 cr] on Day 5 and #ZindagiNaMilegiDobara [₹ 90.27 cr; Zoya’s highest grossing film] in Week 1 itself. India biz."

Apart from Ranveer and Alia, Gully Boy is backed by some stellar performances by the supporting cast as well. Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz and Siddhant Chaturvedi have been gathering immense praises for their act in the film. It'll be interesting to see how Gully Boy does on the weekdays, beginning from Monday.
