Hera Pheri 3 to finally go on floors by the end of this year...
Finally! After being delayed, then postponed and then, rumours of the film being shelved altogether, the third film in Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal starrer Hera Pheri franchise is back on track. If recent reports are anything to go by, then Hera Pheri 3 is all set to go on floors by the end of this year. Fans of the franchise may now rejoice as their favourite characters Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte are all set to be back on the silver screens to tickle their funny bones.
A report in Mumbai Mirror quoted a source close to the developments as saying,"At present, the film is in the scripting stage. Indra Kumar has been working with his team of writers on the story since May last year and has already locked the first half, while the second half requires some more work. He will jump into it after the release of his upcoming directorial, Total Dhamaal."
Hera Pheri 3 is said to be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala and directed by Indra Kumar. The source also told the tabloid that the makers initially planned to begin rolling the film by the end of December. The tabloid further quoted the source, "The delays happened due to issues in the script. Hera Pheri is an iconic franchise and the team is in no hurry to take it on the floors. Though everyone is excited, no one wants to compromise on the script for a substandard product to capitalise on the franchise’s power."
Those who've come in late, earlier, rumour mills had been busy churning that Hera Pheri has been shelved because of an apparent fallout between Akshay Kumar and Firoz Nadiadwala. Speculations were also rife that Firoz didn't have enough moolah to back the film. However, going by the tabloid's recent report, looks like the film is back on track!
