The advance booking of Golmaal Again began with a big bang, with its trailer garnering a record number of views within the first two hours itself. The film that releases today is definitely among the most-awaited movies this year.

With the fourth movie in the successful Golmaal franchise hitting the theatres during Diwali, trade analysts believe it will benefit because of its popularity with the masses as well as the festive season. The trailer indicated that the film will be a joy ride for the audience and a complete family entertainer.

BIG NUMBERS

The advance booking of the film started one month prior to its release. And considering the buzz around the movie that stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade at its core has seen massive advance booking all over India. Audiences booked their tickets well in advance and the response has been tremendous. Says a trade source, “This is the big Diwali movie everyone was waiting for. Be it big cities like Mumbai and Delhi or the tier 2 and 3 cities, the movie will rake in big moolah. People have booked their tickets well in advance and the response is overwhelming. The makers know it’s a profitable proposition.”

LAUGHTER GALORE

The film has a comic-horror element to it. This time around, Golmaal Again sees the addition of two more talented actors in the form of Tabu and Parineeti Chopra — both power-house performers. Also, with the festive weekend, the audience is definitely looking forward to a lighthearted comedy. The source adds, “For sure, the Golmaal series is one of the most-loved and successful comedy franchises till date.”
